The Utah District round of the Metropolitan Opera Eric and Dominque Laffont Competition is supported in part by the Salt Lake City Arts Council, the residents of Salt Lake County through the Zoo, Arts & Parks (ZAP) Program
and the University of Utah School of Music.
Donations to our organization provide the prize monies for award winners and support the costs incurred in hosting the Utah District round of the competition. It is important to note that although the Utah District is officially sanctioned by The Metropolitan Opera and feeds the national competition finals, it does not receive funding from the national office. Thus, we must raise all needed funds for our annual Utah District Competition, which we accomplish through the generosity of local businesses and individuals like you.
